POSITION SUMMARY: An Alliance Volunteers is an unpaid position serving alongside an Alliance specialization (CAMA, marketplace ministries, aXcess) other than Envision. Our Alliance Volunteer Opportunities (AVOs) are derived from Alliance worker-drafted job descriptions, seeking individuals with specific skills and passion for unique short-term service needs around the world.

All volunteers are sent through the Envision office, following a process of application, interview, background check, and acceptance to the program. AVOs are fully support-based and attend a required pre-service training weekend, offered three times annually at various locations around the US. 

Salary/Pay: The volunteer will need to raise support to cover all of the on the grounds needs per month as discussed with the Intern Coordinator; the only other additional expenses to consider are airfare and a visa.

AVOs are short-term service opportunities that do not provide the requirements needed for long-term, accredited service with the Alliance. The individual holding the above position must be an active participant in an evangelical Christian church, accept and abide by the Statement on Abstinence from Addictive Practices, accept and live in accordance with The Christian and Missionary Alliance Statement of Faith, and refrain from behavior which detracts from the Christian testimony of The Christian and Missionary Alliance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

GENERAL SIGN-OFF:The intern is expected to adhere to all Envision policies and to act as a role model in the adherence to policies.
